Return process EU/ROW

To start a return, you’ll need to send a notification immediately upon reception of the product or at the latest 14 days after the reception. The notification shall be sent to support@woolnut.com.

All returns must be returned within 30 days after the reception of the product and in its original packaging. The cost for return shipments will not be provided by WOOLNUT.

Return process US

If you are returning a product from the United States, please email support@woolnut.com with your order number before sending anything back. Our support team will provide you with the correct return instructions.

Refunds

Refunds for returned products will be made within 14 days of the return of the product, to the original purchaser’s credit card or to your Paypal account depending on payment method. For countries within the EU, VAT will be included in the refund. Duties and/or taxes will not be refunded for countries outside the EU.

The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.

Yes, by choosing the correct size of sleeve or folio for your MacBook or iPad. To ensure a slim, precise profile, each sleeve or folio is tailor-made for specific MacBook or iPad models. You can find the exact device compatibility for each sleeve or folio listed under the "Fits perfectly with" section at the top of the product page.

Note: Because we use high-quality natural leather, our sleeves are designed to feel intentionally snug at first. Over the first few days of use, the leather will soften and mold to your MacBook or iPad, creating a perfect, tailored fit.

Orders & Payment

We accept international payments via credit cards, including Visa, MasterCard, and American Express, processed securely through Shopify Payments.

We also accept PayPal, allowing you to pay with your PayPal account or with various cards through PayPal.

We often receive requests for random discount codes, but these are only available through our regular campaigns or the new customer welcome offer described above.

How taxes and duties are handled depends on your shipping destination.

  • European Union: VAT is included in your total and calculated at checkout based on your specific shipping country.

  • United States: We collect U.S. sales tax at checkout where required, based on your shipping destination. All U.S. orders ship directly from our Pennsylvania warehouse.

  • United Kingdom: For orders up to £135 (EUR equivalent), we collect 20% UK VAT at checkout. For orders over £135, any applicable VAT, import duties, or taxes will be charged to you by customs upon arrival in the UK.

  • Norway: We collect the 25% Norwegian VAT at checkout on all orders.

  • Rest of the World: Orders shipped to countries outside the regions listed above may be subject to local VAT, import duties, and taxes. These fees are levied by your local customs office once the package reaches your country.

We currently do not process VAT-exempt B2B orders through our website. However, we will provide an invoice showing VAT so you can handle it on your end.

We make sleeves and folios for all models of MacBook and iPad. The main difference lies in the fit and the closure.

  • The Sleeve: Our sleeves are designed to be the ultimate slim profile for your MacBook or iPad. The open-end design allows for quick access and the convenience of charging your MacBook or iPad while it remains protected inside the sleeve. Custom-tailored to each specific model, the sleeve will feel intentionally snug at first, allowing our signature full-grain leather to soften and mold a perfect fit over time.

  • The Folio: Our folios offer the same signature craftsmanship as our sleeves, but with the added security of a two-sided YKK EXCELLA® zipper, one of the world’s most exclusive metal zippers. While our sleeves provide a tight fit, the folio is designed with a slightly more room inside. The result is a secure and sophisticated look that remains slim and tailored to your device.

It’s easy to identify which MacBook model you own, making it simple to choose the correct WOOLNUT sleeve or folio.

To check your model, click the Apple logo in the top-left corner of your screen and select About This Mac. Under the Overview tab, you’ll see your model and year (for example, MacBook Pro, 14-inch, 2024). This information corresponds to the sizing specifications listed at the top of each WOOLNUT product page under the FITS section.

Our sleeves are crafted to fit each MacBook model perfectly. The fit is snug, and we cannot guarantee compatibility with other laptops.

If your non-MacBook laptop has dimensions very close to a MacBook (within ±1–2 mm in height, width, or depth) it may still fit. Compare your laptop’s dimensions with the specifications listed for each MacBook model to find the best match.

Our iPad sleeves are tailored for a snug, precise fit and are not suitable for use with additional cases, folios, or keyboards.

Our iPad folios, however, are designed to accommodate the iPad along with an Apple Pencil, Magic Keyboard, or similar accessories.

Yes, our cases for iPhone 13, iPhone 14, iPhone 15, iPhone 16, iPhone 17 series and iPhone Air are all MagSafe compatible.

These cases feature built-in magnet arrays, enabling MagSafe compatibility for wireless charging and accessories.

Yes, wireless charging works with our iPhone cases.

We use full-grain cowhide leather of Scandinavian origin for our leather products. This type of leather is well known for its exceptional quality. The leather is tanned under Gold-rated Leather Working Group (LWG) environmental protocols, their highest rating.

We use 100% natural wool felt from a renowned German supplier, a leading manufacturer of classic wool felt for over 120 years. This premium wool felt is used in all our products that feature wool. Soft, water-repellent, and shock-absorbent, wool not only looks stunning alongside our leather but also provides reliable protection for your belongings in everyday life.

Most of our products (including sleeves and folios for iPad and MacBook, as well as many small leather goods) are made in a factory in Chennai, India, specializing in high-end leathers. With years of experience and expertise, our partnership with this factory is one we are very proud of.

Our iPhone and AirPods cases are partially made in India, where the leather is treated and cut, while final assembly and packaging take place in a factory in China that focuses on high-quality leather products.

Our Matte PU Collection, made from PU and Recycled PET felt, is made in China.

Warranty & Product Care

Each WOOLNUT product comes with a 2-year limited warranty, effective from the date of purchase as shown on your receipt. This warranty provides additional benefits on top of your statutory consumer rights.

The warranty covers defects in materials or workmanship. It does not cover:

  • Natural wear and tear (including leather softening, patina development, or minor surface changes)
  • Accidental damage or misuse
  • Faults caused by negligence or improper use
  • Damage to your device (iPhone, AirPods, MacBook, etc.) caused by the use of any WOOLNUT product

Many of our products are designed with impact resistance in mind. However, WOOLNUT cannot guarantee protection of your device from drops or impacts.

To make a claim, proof of purchase (your order receipt) is required. Any replacement under this warranty does not extend the original warranty period.

Generally, our leather products do not require any special treatment. To remove small stains or dust, gently wipe the leather with a damp cloth and let it dry flat. Do not dry clean, bleach, iron, tumble dry, twist, or expose the leather to extreme heat or moisture.

Small wrinkles, blemishes, or subtle variations in color and veining are natural characteristics of full-grain leather and make each product unique. They are not imperfections.

For products with wool felt, such as our sleeves and folios, you can clean the lining carefully using a lint roller or cleaning tape.

If you choose to use leather soap, balm, or oils, you may do so at your own risk. Our limited warranty does not cover misuse, including improper treatment of the product.
