Terms and Conditions – Revised September 2022.

Woolnut is a trademark of Woolnut AB, a registered company governed by the laws of Sweden. These terms and conditions are an agreement between you as a visitor/end-user and the use of Woolnut website (www.woolnut.com, the website, we etc.). With all continuous use of this website, you agree to these terms and conditions and are aware that it is subject to change at any time.

1. Purchase and Shipping terms

Woolnut purchase and shipping terms can be read below, sectioned in four paragraphs.

1.1 Purchase and Payment Options

At present, Woolnut accepts international payments by VISA, MasterCard and American Express. On-site payments are processed via payment provider Stripe.

It is also possible to pay directly with your Paypal account, or with VISA, MasterCard, American Express and Discover via the Paypal terminal (payment this way is possible without a Paypal account).

Woolnut reserve the right to adjust prices shown on woolnut.com caused by wrong pricing, technical errors etc. Depending on if your IP address location is outside or within the EU when visiting woolnut.com, you may see prices incl. or excl. of VAT. At checkout, after the shipping address is entered, the prices will always represent the actual amount withdrawn from your payment account and depends on your location outside or within the EU. For customers in the EU, we will collect VAT according to the country-specific VAT rate of the shipping country entered at checkout.

Orders to countries outside the EU may still be subject to VAT, import duties and/or taxes, which are levied once your package reaches your country.

United Kingdom order exception: Woolnut will collect UK VAT of 20% on all orders to the UK with a total product value of up to the EUR equivalent of 135 GBP exclusive of VAT. On order total product values above the EUR equivalent of 135 GBP exclusive of VAT, any VAT, import duties and/or taxes will be charged to the recipient upon import to the UK. Note that it is always the shipping address that will ultimately decide if and how VAT is collected at checkout.

1.2 Shipping

All orders of in-stock items that are placed on weekdays are shipped within 24 hours. In-stock orders placed on holidays or weekends will be processed the next business day. If items in your order are currently out of stock and backordered/pre-ordered, this will be stated on the product page of the item together with an estimated shipping date. Backordered items will ship as soon as they are back in stock.

Normal shipping time to customers is normally 2-25 days depending on shipping method and location. Please note that the stated shipping time for each shipping method during checkout is an estimate. The actual shipping days could be less or more but most likely within the stated amount of days.

All orders are dispatched from our warehouse in Tallinn, Estonia and delivered through either DHL or FedEx. A tracking number will be sent by a separate email after order dispatch when this is available.

Please contact our customer service at support@woolnut.com if you have an inquiry on the status of your order. If you have not received any order confirmation email, please check your spam folder or contact us.

1.3 Order Confirmation and Shipment Tracking

We will send an order confirmation with information about your purchase by e-mail as soon as we have received your order. We recommend that you save the order confirmation if you should need to contact our customer service at support@woolnut.com. Please check your spam folder if you have not received any confirmation email.

All orders shipped with DHL and FedEx carry their own tracking numbers so that you can follow your delivery. Most orders shipped with National Post also carry their own tracking number, but it might not be possible to track the order through every country since this shipping method changes couriers between country borders.

Please note that you will not receive a tracking number of your order directly after your purchase is completed. This will be sent out first when your order is dispatched from our warehouse. This often takes a business day from the time the order is completed. If you order late on a Friday, you will most likely be emailed the tracking number on the following Monday when the order is dispatched.

Orders to countries outside the EU may be subject to VAT, import duties and/or taxes, which are levied once your package reaches your country. This means that we do not collect VAT, duties and/or taxes on orders to countries outside the EU and we cannot predict what your particular charges may be. If you do incur any such additional charges they must be rendered in order for your package to clear customs. Please contact your local customs office for more information.

1.4 Force Majeure

In case of Force Majeur, Woolnut obligations are procrastinated. The contract between you and Woolnut can in such cases be partially or fully terminated by yourself or by Woolnut. A Force Majeure is at the event of war, civil war, revolution, riot, governmental measures, strike, lockout, blockage, failure of electricity, telephone or internet service, natural disasters or similar events.

Woolnut reserves the right to seek all remedies available at law and in equity for violations of these Terms and Conditions, including the right to block access to the site.

The laws of your country may be different from the laws in Sweden and there may be additional legal requirements for you to use this website. You must comply with all applicable local and international laws and regulations regarding your use of our website.

2. Customer Service

Woolnut works hard to satisfy our customers. If you have any questions or problems with our products, you can always reach us at support@woolnut.com.

2.1 Return Policy

You have the right to return original, undamaged and unused products that are purchased on woolnut.com. The product must be returned in its original and undamaged package. Notification about this shall be done immediately upon reception of the product or at the latest 14 days after the reception. The notification shall be done to support@woolnut.com. All returns must be returned within 30 days and in their original packaging. The cost for return shipments will not be provided by Woolnut so you have to cover this charge yourself.

Refunds for returned merchandise will be made within two weeks of the return of the product, to the original purchaser’s credit card or to your Paypal account depending on payment method. For countries within the EU, VAT will be included in the refund. Duties and/or taxes will not be refunded for countries outside of the EU.

NOTE: You should only address the return to Woolnut AB. Do not enter or in any way use the name of the customer support agent as addressee when returning a product.

2.2 Product Warranty

Each Woolnut product carries a 1 year limited factory warranty. This guarantee comes into effect from the date of purchase, as stated on the receipt. Any replacement of a Woolnut product under this warranty does not extend the warranty period. The date of the original purchase is still valid.

This guarantee adds benefits that are additional to your rights as a consumer. In order for the warranty to be used in relation to replacements or repairs, Woolnut first needs to see your proof of purchase, i.e. the receipt you received upon purchase.

All Woolnut products are fully guaranteed against defects in materials or workmanship. The guarantee does not cover product damages that may have resulted from abnormal wear and tear, accidental damage caused by the user, faults as a result of wilful or negligent operation, or any other handling. Additionally, the warranty does not cover damage to your device such as a MacBook, iPad or iPhone as a result of the use of any Woolnut product.

Our iPhone cases are designed with impact resistance in mind. However, if a device such as an iPhone is dropped even from the smallest of heights, there is of course a risk of damage. Therefore, Woolnut can not guarantee you 100% protection in any such mishaps.

2.3 Important about our Leather

Our leather products are made with an exterior in cowhide leather. Each piece of leather is unique. Any small blemishes, subtle variations in color or veining are typical characteristics for these natural materials and should therefore not be considered as imperfections but rather something that makes each and every product unique and personal.

2.4 Taking Care of Your Woolnut product

The Woolnut sleeve may feel a little bit tight when it’s new but don’t worry – it’s supposed to. Due to the natural materials, it will soon loosen up to get that perfect fit.  To preserve the original quality of the products, avoid exposure to extreme heat and dampness, periodically clean the leather with a soft cloth and clean the wool lining by the use of a lint-roller or cleaning tape.

The information found on or through woolnut.com may not be used as a substitute for any sort of advice. Decisions you make based on this information are made at your own expense and risk. Woolnut retains all the rights (including copyright, domain names and other intellectual property rights) for the information on or through this website. This includes texts, graphical material and logos. It is not allowed to copy, download, publish in any way, distribute or replicate information on this website without prior written permission from Woolnut. For your personal use only, you may download and/or print information from our website.

3.4 Jurisdiction

This website and these terms and conditions are governed by the laws of Sweden. All disputes or disagreements arising from or related to these terms and conditions will be settled by Swedish courts, with the Stockholm District Court (Stockholms tingsrätt) as the court of first instance.

Woolnut is a trademark of Woolnut AB, a company registered in and incorporated under the laws of Sweden.
